iOS 6 Jailbreak Could Be Broken With iOS 6.1.3 Update

The other day we heard that Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 to developers, the update is designed to fix the passcode bug found in iOS 6, and now it would appear that the update may actually break the evasi0n iOS 6 jailbreak.

The iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 which was recently released to developers apparently patches one of the five exploits that were used in the iOS 6 Jailbreak, the exploit was a time zone bug.

iOS 6 Jailbreak

Apparently the evasi0n iOS 6 jailbreak needs all five exploits for the jailbreak to work, so it looks like the iOS 6.1.3 software update to break the evasi0n jailbreak, unless the team behind the software can find another option before iOS 6.1.3 is released.

There are no details as yet on exactly when Apple will release the final version of iOS 6.1.3, although considering that it fixes the passcode exploit that could give anyone access to your iPhone we suspect it will be sooner than later.

New Toyota Corolla expected to launch in 2014 in Pakistan -

We first reported that Indus Motors’ is working on towards assembling Toyota Fortuner locally and it is expected to launch in the first week of March 2013.

Although locally assembled Toyota Hilux was significantly cheaper then the imported one, however those who had the opportunity to drive both of the vehicles, imported and locally built were quite disappointed in the locally assembled one.

Indus Motors have been selling the Fortuner through importing for a little while now so the same comparison against locally built and imported one shall be made and given the quality reputation of local cars, we’ll not be the one to draw the swords first.

But in between the launch speculations and press releases, The Nation reports that Indus Motors is injecting more capital in its plant during the period of 2013-14 which will be 6 billion Pakistani Rupees and is mainly for the new model of Toyota Corolla expected next year.

i-mate reportedly working on an Intel-based, Windows 8 handset

The Dubai-based manufacturer i-mate might be planning a grand return to the smartphone scene after several years in the doldrums. According to a recent report, the company, which made a name for itself by selling HTC-made, Windows Mobile devices in the middle of last decade, is set to unveil an Intel Clover Trail based smartphone, which will boot Windows 8 Pro, not Windows Phone 8.

The smartphone will carry the name i-mate Intelegent. It is reportedly set to pack 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 4.7" display of unknown resolution. The most important trick up the i-mate Intelegent's sleeve will be the ability to offer full Windows 8 experience via an optional docking system. The latter will offer a 23" touch-enabled display, keyboard, mouse, and a wireless tablet with 10" 1080p display.

The price of the smartphone alone is said to be $750. Should you choose to go for the desktop station, prepare to fork out $1,600.

According to the CEO of i-mate, Mr. Jim Morrison, there's a factory in California ready to produce 10,000 units a week of the Intelegent. The CEO also told the Seattle Times that the i-mate Intelegent will be showcased during MWC.

Galaxy S III wins best smartphone by GSMA, Nexus 7 - best tablet

This year's annual awards for the tops in the mobile industry were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today. The awards are given to the best devices, apps, and technologies as selected by the GSM Association.

While the full list of winners is rather large and a bit obscure, we've done the hard work for you and summarized all the top apps and devices from this years' competition.

The Best Feature or Entry Level Phone goes to the Nokia Asha 305, which offers a compelling dual-SIM package at an extremely attractive price.

The Best Smartphone goes to the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is no real surprise as the device has been selling like crazy since its release. For our take on the S III,

Best Mobile Tablet goes to Google and Asus for their Nexus 7, which is still selling strong after being released last November.

Sony Xperia Z now available in France, rest of EU holds breath

Previously we heard that the Sony Xperia Z European launch will be on Thursday, February 21, but it appears French users were lucky enough to get the 5" 1080p flagship a few days in advance. Sony has unleashed the Xperia Z through its official online store in France today, asking €649 for it. The black and white versions are in stock, but there is no info on the purple one.
France is the second country to get the Sony Xperia Z, after Japan, where sales commenced on February 9. Various European operators and retailers are taking pre-orders already.
So, the Xperia Z is coming! Are you getting one? If you are still sitting on the fence you might want to check our review for some valuable information on the smartphone's real-life performance.

Apple A7 chipset for iPhone 5S photographed in the wild?

The iPhone 5 should be getting an update soon – the iPhone 5S probably – but what could that update be? The closer we get to launch, the more likely it is one of the parts suppliers will let something slip, like the motherboard of the new phone.
The photo was sent to iOSDoc from a “very reliable source” and it clearly shows an Apple A7 chipset – that’s the successor to the A6 in the iPhone 5 and latest iPad.

According to the source, the number of CPU cores and amount of RAM have both been doubled, meaning the A7 chipset packs a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 2GB of RAM. The RAM clockspeed will reportedly take a hit, though – going from LPDDR2-1066 to LPDDR-800.
The GPU will reportedly be PowerVR SGX554MP4 (quad-core) like in the iPad 4, up from SGX543MP3 (tri-core) in the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5S will keep the 4” 640 x 1136 display – that’s not very surprising, given that changing the screen size will mean either sacrificing sharpness (if Apple keeps the resolution) or app compatibility (if the resolution is adjusted accordingly).

HTC One official photo breaks cover

An official press photo of the HTC One has leaked showcasing the phone's front panel. The source is evleaks and judging from its history of leaks, then we have every reason to believe this is the real deal.
Rather surprisingly, the HTC One get rid of the traditional three-button combo and features just back and home buttons below its display. As usual, both buttons are of the capacitive touch variety. Another interesting bit are the dual-speakers placed either side of the screen.
However, the key selling point of the smartphone remains its 4.7-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 468ppi. Judging from the press photo the One is going to run the latest version of Sense UI (5.0), which falls in line with previous reports. Those earlier reports also suggested the HTC One is running Android 4.2 on a Qualcomm APQ8064 chipset with four 1.7GHz Krait cores and 2GB of RAM.
Yesterday, the first photo snapped using the smartphone's 13MP camera showed up on Flickr. It's yet another interesting aspect of the device, considering its using a stacked sensor with what the company calls "ultrapixels".

An 8MP camera with LED flash, front-facing unit with VGA resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and 2,460 mAh battery complete the highlights of the handset's spec sheet.

Nissan 2014 Versa Note

Nissan has unveiled its 2014 Versa Note at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
The new design aims to improve fuel economy through improved aerodynamics and has a drag coefficient of 0.298, achieved with the aid of Nissan's first Active Grille Shutter. The Versa Note, which uses the carmaker's global ‘V' platform, sits on a long wheelbase of 2,600mm and has short front and rear overhangs.
The wide sweeping grille curves upwards and cuts into the narrowed headlamps while the lower air intake is framed to both sides by the inset fog lamps. Two lines also feed down from the base of the A-pillar into the grille.
A strong bodyside character line originating from behind the front wheelarch rises backwards and flows into the rear lamps while a smoother line curves downwards before feeding into the rear wheelarch. At the rear combination lights feature, with the aero flares designed to enhance the aerodynamics.

Renault Scenic XMOD

In a move that marks the huge shift in interest from MPVs and minivans to SUVs, the definitive ‘mini-MPV' Renault Scenic has been rehashed and reborn as a pseudo off-roader.
The addition of unpainted bumpers and lower body cladding, along with some metallic-effect details is a clear attempt to stem the flood of buyers choosing cars such as the Nissan Qashquai. It may be little more than an Allroad-style makeover rather than a new format but it speaks volumes in terms of how the family car market has shifted and not only in Europe.

new Corvette Stingray

We've seen a lot of the new Corvette Stingray. After it debuted at the Detroit Auto Show, the first model sold for over a million bucks at auction. We then managed to see three Stingrays in the flesh thanks to an opportunistic fan who caught GM engineers taking a trio of C7s for a spin. Chevrolet recently revealed that the Corvette Stingray Convertible would be coming to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and now we have the first official commercial for the brand-new sports car.

The battle between Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz

Despite a lagging global economy these days, luxury car sales have been holding steady, especially in the US. The battle between Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz remains fierce on all levels, including high-performance models. According to a new report from BimmerBoost and Automobile, BMW is apparently looking at going above and beyond its M performance division to compete directly with Mercedes' AMG Black Series.

Comparison of audio quality smartphone Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5

Today I will drive foreheads Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. Of course, I bought both companies (and Nokia), I completely deaf and did not understand anything at all - this is obvious, and in the comments you can not write.
So. I will first talk about something that is not in the text. There will be no "objective" measurements RMAA, because they practically do not say anything about the sound.Specifically, they say that the device A on the test signal is different from device B. This, unfortunately, useful information ends.
It will not be long and persistent comparisons on hundreds of different headphones. For a simple reason - I use in everyday life, or test headphones, or your favorite Ultimate Ears UE11PRO.
There will be a lengthy description of sound instruments on different tracks. Here, I wish myself and you, dear readers - less text will scroll.
Still will not focus groups, and all because I was too lazy to organize them. Can throw rotten tomatoes - but the focus groups will not, as a tester, I will speak personally.
Apple iPhone 5
Samsung Galaxy S3
Now - what will be. And be on the subjective testing methodology. For a start - what parameters are taken into account.
  1. Subjective evenness response - how the device is universal in its approach to sound reproduction
  2. Quality of study frequency ranges: LF (low frequency), MF (medium frequency), HF (high frequency).
  3. Detail - how well the device to deal with complex compositions
  4. Attack - how well the amplifier unit to cope with a rapid increase in the volume
  5. Dynamic range - how well the device works off playing as quiet and loud sounds
  6. Quality stereo - how well the tools are arranged in a head
  7. Amplifier noise - noise amplifier
  8. Comfortable volume - the volume at which the listening to your favorite music

HTC M7 expected to arrive on all US carriers other than Verizon

We are slowly inching towards the release of the HTC M7, which we have been hearing about for quite some time now. The phone is expected to be revealed in the special media event held by HTC on February 19, before MWC.
Now, we are hearing that the phone will be available on all major carriers in the US, except for Verizon. AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint will have the phone by mid-March when it is said to go on sale but Verizon seems to be sitting this one out entirely or might join the party at a later date.

Along with these two device, Samsung will also be updating the Galaxy Ace 2 to Jelly Bean, but that will happen in April. And last but not the least, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will also be joining the Jelly Bean party around the same time.

A Qatari sheikh has become the first person to purchase the new Lykan Hypersport; the most expensive car in the world.

The price tag will buy al-Thani a carbon-fibre chassis; gold-plated hood; diamond-encrusted LED taillights and a Star Wars-like fully functional interactive holographic display. A $200,000 Special Edition Cyrus Klepcys watch has been thrown in for good measure.
